Carmie is quite the character. She belonged to some people who lived in the neighborhood before I arrived. She was a stray they adopted. When they moved, they took her with them, however, she came back. For almost a year, they tried to acclimate her to their new home but she kept coming back. My next door neighbor said she would take care of her.
The people who had the house before me put a door on top of the rafters in the carport. That is where she stays when not out hunting for food. Since my mom moved in and is home a good portion of the day, she has now gotten Carmie to come in the house and eat a few bites of dry food but Carmie doesn't stay long. Also, Carmie will let you touch her but not pet her.
She is so catty...... She is also a very chatty cat. We call her chatty catty.
